• The feed pump is to be wired into the pressure switch. Provide a disconnect so that it can be unplugged. Check the pressure switch voltage and observe the appropriate wiring diagram in the feed pump manual.
  • C.V. stands for check valve and the chemical feed point of injection can be downstream of this valve.
  • The feed pump point of injection should be at or prior to the system pressure tank. Note that this point is installed from the bottom of the pipe which is important to the correct operation of the system. Consider a ball valve at this location for easier cleaning of the check valve inside the injection fitting.
  • P.S. stands for pressure switch. P.G. stands for pressure gauge.
  • A vacuum breaker is optional. The retention tank can be either and 80 or 120 gallon size.
  • Disregard the flow control shown after the carbon filter which is used in low recovery wells only.
  • A test port is an integral part of the installation in order to test for a chlorine residual at this point, typically between 0.5 and 1.0 PPM. The chlorine residual can be adjusted by both the feed pump settings and the mixture ratio of soft or distilled water to standard household bleach.
