• Because it is lighter than many other comparable medias, water is saved during backwash.
• Acts as an excellent filter media for turbidity and suspended solids, in addition to being an Iron/Manganese/Sulfur filter media
• pH below 7.0 may not allow a filter to be as effective as the acidity of the water will push the iron off of the media. THIS IS TRUE OF ANY WATER SOFTENER OR IRON FILTER.
• A gravel under bedding is required.
