On a chlorinated water supply, install the carbon filter ahead of the water softener to protect the softening resin. On well water install the carbon filter after the water softener for chemical and pesticide free water.
* Choose between standard Jacobi coconut based GAC carbon or their Catalytic carbon which are 12x40 mesh and acid washed.
* The fleck 5600SXT digital metered control regenerates based on water usage and we program it for you!
* 32,000 grains capacity (1.0 cubic feet) of resin is included. The softening resins that we offer are either a high capacity 8% cross-linked type or a 10% cross-liked type (a stronger bead strength) both made in Canada by Aldex with 83% US manufactured products. Both have been tested and certified by the Water Quality Assn.
* The salt tank includes a safety brine valve assembly.
* Both units include a choice of bypass and connectors, drain fittings and 6' of brine line.
* The 1 cubic foot upflow carbon filter uses no water or electricity.
